Every deal is a bond: buyer, seller, proof and payment held together until release.
01 — Protected deals
Escrow holds the money until the deal is done.
- Buyer funds the deal and a hash of the agreed terms goes on-chain with both wallets.
- Seller delivers, buyer releases payment, a small fee supports the protocol.
- No delivery by the deadline means a refund; disputes go to an arbiter you choose, or you settle.
- Every finished deal earns a shareable 🏁 Deal Certificate.

- Buyer funds and sets a meetup window (2–24 h).
- Seller shows a Handoff QR; buyer scans and the app checks the item's Proof Vault fingerprint matches the listing.

Proof Vault: a fingerprint for everything you own.
Fingerprint a file or a piece of text and file it on-chain. Hashing happens on your device; only the SHA-256 fingerprint and your label are stored.

Stay safe: the scams escrow stops, and how to spot the rest.
- Never pay outside escrow, even for a discount.
- Check every address character by character; scammers swap look-alikes.
- POSH never DMs you or asks for your seed phrase.
- Release only with the item in your hands; a release can't be undone.
- New or low passport? Use Handoff Mode or a custom arbiter.

Before you sign
- Compare the first and last characters of every address. Copy-paste scams use look-alike addresses.
- This page asks for exact amounts, never unlimited approvals, and shows a plain-English review before MetaMask opens.
- If MetaMask shows something different from the review, reject it.
- Never share your seed phrase. No real support person will ask for it.
- Use a hardware wallet or a multisig for any owner key that controls live funds.
